Replay: No age for sharing 
The more than 60 years are about 13 million today in France. In 30 years, they should represent approximately one third of the French population, according to demographers. At retirement, these women and men still in perfect health are found more often alone. By choice, because they have divorced or are widowed because their children live far away. This loneliness, many fear it and do not want to lock myself. Many are also faced with the cost of increasingly exorbitant housing. For these "young" retirees, retirement home, too synonymous with end of life is not a solution. They are therefore more likely to consider a formula that we previously thought reserved for students: a roommate. The phenomenon is already highly developed and structured in countries of Northern Europe, like Germany. In France, it is still very embryonic, but it is probably known to grow, judging by the success encountered by the associations that have sprung up in recent years to promote the roommate of seniors.
Marie-Christine Le Dû Macchietti Lawrence and met some of those retirees who live or want to live Shared. They also met some people who are still active but, nearing retirement, inform and question the possibilities of adopting this lifestyle or looking for their parents.
