The more than 60 years are about 13 million today in France. In 30 years, they should represent approximately one third of the French population, according to demographers. At retirement, these women and men still in perfect health are found more often alone. By choice, because they have divorced or are widowed because their children live far away. This loneliness, many fear it and do not want to lock myself. Many are also faced with the cost of increasingly exorbitant housing. For these "young" retirees, retirement home, too synonymous with end of life is not a solution.
They are therefore more likely to consider a formula that we previously thought reserved for students: a roommate. The phenomenon is already highly developed and structured in countries of Northern Europe, like Germany. In France, it is still very embryonic, but it is probably known to grow, judging by the success encountered by the associations that have sprung up in recent years to promote the roommate of seniors.

Marie-Christine Le Dû Macchietti Lawrence and met some of those retirees who live or want to live Shared. They also met some people who are still active but, nearing retirement, inform and question the possibilities of adopting this lifestyle or looking for their parents.

Waxing And Hemorrhoids

Jonathan RUBIN

Synopsis: A man goes
on a tropical island, where he attends a ceremony of "turning of the dead. This experiment marks the beginning of a profound transformation of his perception and his dreams. He embarks on a trip and finds its lightness forgotten.
's Statement:
To make my film "Have you been stung by a dead bee? "I left a story of castaways who survived five years on an island lost in the Indian Ocean. On the night of July 31, 1761, the Utile, a French slave ship, ran aground on a sandbar off the coast of Madagascar. On this island completely devoid of vegetation and shade, the survivors began to build a makeshift boat from the remains of the damaged vessel. For lack space, only the white crew could climb aboard the raft. The slaves were then left with the false promise that they would find them quickly. Forgotten, these men and women in Madagascar, have organized themselves to survive on this remote piece of land. They eat turtles and birds, dug a well to drink water filtered through the coral and managed to keep some fire with debris from the wreckage. Then one day, by chance, fifteen years after the sinking, a corvette of the French navy saw them and collected the remaining survivors, seven women dressed in feathers and braided a baby.
By discovering this story, I was captivated by the will to live of the survivors, which enabled them to withstand isolation, abandonment, disease, and not go crazy in this environment inhospitable. I do not want to adapt this story, but finding that energy or survival instinct survivors who had lived during these years.
It was important for me to turn on or near the site of this resistance in order to find the elements and natural conditions encountered which had been shipwrecked. The filming took place on the small island Nosy Boraha, off Madagascar, a few miles from this place of misery.
Various drivers are then grafted from around the first story. In preparing for the filming, I discovered a funeral rite peculiar to this region called Famadihana, or "turning ceremony for the dead", which involves digging up the bones of the deceased to allow his soul to join the world of ancestors. This is one of the only events specific to the slaves that is still practiced forgotten TODAY! Hui. Faced with many deaths, Presumably the Malagasy have abandoned the ritual practiced to release the souls of their dead. It is through this ritual that I linked my story to the shipwrecked, and I started my film. During the preparation of the shooting, many media have discussed the mysterious disappearance of bees. I'm interested in those who survived. In the hollow of a tree, I filmed a colony of wild bees for relief. This image of empty teeming referred me to the wells dug by the castaways to survive, and holes dug by the Malagasy people to deliver the soul their dead. Gradually, these stories of life and death came together to give birth to my film. Rather than a story written before that I filmed and cut, I worked out this short film in stages, like a journey. I moved to grope with the hesitations and doubts that accompany the first time.
Thus, the pace is rather slow. There is no dialogue, no words are spoken. As I like to think it is a fiction that all plans are documentary, a film where this is not reality that counts but what the imagination can do.

Pulsating Pain Between Thumb And Finger

Saâd TAZI

The world around us, challenges us at every moment. Little by little, the eye picks up the pieces forming the insignificant parts of the map of an imaginary territory. Nothing spectacular, just a celebration of simplicity and an invitation to watch.
Every day, we travel for miles to connect one point to another by going to the "essential", that is to say, looking at nothing. The journey becomes a dead space that needs filling. Through reading, through music or simply fatigue.
In today's world which beats the freedom of trade, freedom of movement seems to vanish gradually. A bit like the chess player Stephan Zweig mentally reconstructs the parts without physical support, I try to reconstruct the territories near the borders and walls that rise up to separate people "often" other. We can go through these areas without restriction and without trial. Just for fun to share, to reconcile and give to see the beauty in the simplicity of what surrounds us.

I work on the illusion of perception the other, most often in facilities in situ. Anamorphic characters that I put in space will be discovered only from a unique perspective, that the walker must seek. As in life, where to meet someone in its truth and fullness, we must overcome the image he gives of him or that we would like to see. The two tables are part of a series of "dignity." Faces painted on corrugated iron, very close, which must be away for eye contact.

Born in Abidjan, Corinne Troisi lives and works between France and Morocco.

Originally my work there is a fascination with the biological world, evolution and graphics over its history. In my work, I take the vocabulary This pictorial universe appropriating me to write a world that I would own. A world of hybrid perpetual mutation, through various media such as drawing, printmaking and animation.
Teratogenicity is a collection of hybrids, a book created for fun that the reader can get into my game and give shape to his own monsters. As naturalists fantastic of yesteryear, we can propose a theory of evolution peculiar to each.

My sculptures are a grotesque world, between the humorous and cruel. I like to move very fast operating procedures to practices more measured and delicate. A world of metamorphosis, when the animal occupies a central place, but précaire.Mes sculptures are highly variable in size and interact with each other, playing with the idea of scale. Are making the leap from the inordinately large and meticulous details like hand sewn teeth.
The abnormality is often present, putting the viewer with a story where things disfonctionnent, as can be seen with the pig hanging on the door or with the two bears had fallen from their chairs.
Many of my sculptures explore the idea l! soft, the concept of "Antiform". That's why I love working with fabric. The material under its own weight, gravity acting on the form. Designer, I explore the parallel between drawing and sewing.
Dad, plush black vinyl over 3 meters tall, evokes ambivalent universe: the comic character's face seriously the embodiment, the fun of meeting the regressive "doll" and the trashy material, proximity the marvelous and monstrous. In
Sad song, it's a pant that becomes a story, the story of a bear dies and his friend who looks impuissant.Accident ordinary pants falling off a chair.
With Pig hanged, opposes the soft animal's sprawling and wide dynamic range of this board which is
know why.

Work "day by day," a logbook states " body and heart "at risk of living in pieces scattered by the vagaries of the world that plays with us.
Being scattered, but not lost. All these fragments are drawn and painted compositions included in sometimes fleeting (boards inventories and mazes), still stored in books "memo" and "folios" in a final attempt to live coherent .
This paper work coexists with paintings on canvas that are one of the data submitted in the light, like so many bottles in the sea waiting for a response.
The return of reality we confirm our existence, even precarious, and a return human kindness and declare: "It will be ... If the piggies do not eat."

I always spent hours watching the patterns of Earth's crust and cuts of geological strata that can be found in encyclopedias and dictionaries. "I got a sense of control and create my own world and to discover what lies beneath the surface of things.
same time, I was fascinated by the imagery "futuristic" used in scientific and medical aspects of primitive and soft organs and bones, transcended by the Medical rationalization. Extension representations of scientific and computer images of spikes in films and series of action and sci-fi of the 80s, such as Tron let me grow up longing for a future that did not exist. ; I also discovered at that time, along with millions of people, images of a clean war, live in front of my TV. These pictures, filmed at night, shooting, explosions, tracer bullets and bombs were guided both beautiful, mesmerizing and so deadly ... Make these aspects exist in the same pictorial space allows me to represent a place where past and future create a new present, a sum of possibilities, in a landscape become. My work speaks of remembrance, but not of nostalgia, the feeling of childhood through the filter of my adult eyes. I
based on expectations and assumptions of the viewer from the image to build devices that thwart. These images do not engage with evidence. Through the use of resins and varnishes, I produce an image stealth, which is discovered only in pieces and at times, but never in its entirety. This forces the viewer to confront the image that eludes and his own reflection in it embeds. A feeling of looking in a mirror that never ceases to send another reflection than ours, but we like so much. The source and the manufacture of these images is deliberately difficult to define, they located the boundaries of photography, painting and printing. I deliberately cultivates this confusion and sometimes the discrepancy between the image produced mechanically or by mathematical calculations and the image produced manually. The result is an artifact that I am particularly interested in the way of slipping between two worlds or two modes of dialogue and shows the rating fallible, sensitive, this grain of humanity.

past few years I focused my research on the work of plastic composition. I use it for the medium of woodcut that allowed me to (literally) the challenges associated with surfaces. In doing so, I have focused my work on the representation of the female figure. This practice, I defined under the name barbaric "Physiognomy of the anima." Physiognomy is a theory that claims to study the physical characteristics of individuals to understand their mental constitution. The anima in turn is in Jungian psychoanalysis, one of the main archetypes capita unconscious, idealized woman who can simultaneously be seen as goddess / mother / daughter / sister / friend / lover who is in man a kind of double. In this research cluster physical characteristics of my anima and its contextualization in the space of the image, I seek to collect the mechanisms that constitute it. This work allows me to work on the issue of otherness, the double and by extension that of fiction.

I'm interested in graffiti since 1982. I discovered this community on the benches of the school and then in the first books available.
I began to document the subject in 1996 and I am quickly attached to photograph the artists while they were making their parts. The next day I returned to make a color photo with good light conditions to keep a record of the painting. I think I have been privileged to witness the youth of future great artist and I love above all remember the moments spent hanging out in these factories and vacant lots of Paris and major European capitals.
The picture is for me the best medium to share these moments and show the human dimension of his work. I work regularly in literature dealing Graffiti in France.

Imad MANSOUR

Imad MANSOUR, by his choice of themes, always seems to find difficulty, the challenge, in view of the other , our vision as observers. In his videos, humans inhabit a scene that sometimes something theatrical. The world as a perspective, as askance, as a reflection. Sesvidéos sow doubt about l! opposition between inside and outside, front or back, between reality and its reproduction, between communication and silence, between man and woman. The mixture of traditional concepts makes communication possible between opposites that eventually resolves itself. Imad Mansour
lets his characters right on their appearance, and he places them in the right light and let them express their own way, exposing the complexity of the characteristic of each of them. This leads to the essence of what "he wants to show through the filter of personal view, gaze, and he discovers that seduces the viewer to take them to the known l! as new and as other.

It directs its research towards dynamic creations of space and rythme.Toutes his works are in motion, people or material. His videos sow confusion about the opposition between inside and outside, between reality and reproduction, between communication and silence. His creations jostling the audience into his vision of the other, in his vision as a spectator.
Imad Mansour's work is part of the movement of Conceptual art, sculptures, installations and
