0.45% Jones) - Telecom Italia SpA (TIT.MI) will continue its efforts to reduce debt and will begin to consider new strategies until late next year, said Friday the chief of the telecommunications operator Italian.
"The idea is to continue to reduce debt," said Franco Bernabe at a press conference following the announcement of annual results of the group and its strategy for the next three years.
"By the end of next year we will be able to think of other strategies," he added.

Under plan 2011-2013, Telecom Italia plans to increase its dividend by 15% per year and strengthen its focus on Latin America, while striving to maintain its margins in Italy.
Action Telecom Italia closed up 5.3% to 1.10 euro, the Milan Stock Exchange.

TELECOM ITALIA IS GOING TO FOCUS ON LATIN AMERICA


MILAN (Dow Jones) - Telecom Italia SPA (TI) announced Friday a three-year program whose goal is to increase the dividend by 15% per year and focus more on activities in Latin America, while he has trouble maintaining its margins in its domestic market.
The first Italian telecommunications operator said it would continue to strengthen its cash flow generation by focusing on strategic markets such as Italy, Brazil and Argentina to stabilize its revenue.

The group added that it plans to invest about 4.8 billion euros 2011.
He also said he would work to reduce its net debt over the period 2011 to 2013, with the aim of adjusted net debt of 25 billion euros by 2013. Telecom Italia was counting on a past debt under 28 billion euros in 2012.
 Telecom Italia will hold a conference call at 10:00 am to present the program.

TELECOM ITALIA TO ALMOST DOUBLE ITS EARNINGS IN 2010

ROME (Dow Jones) - Telecom Italia SpA (TI TIT.MI) on Thursday posted a net profit almost doubled on fiscal year 2010 through exceptional accounting gains and strong performance of the group in Brazil, which offset weak business in Italy.
The largest Italian telecom operator has reached such an extraordinary gain of EUR 266 million through the consolidation of its stake in Telecom Argentina SA (TEO TECO2.BA) in the fourth quarter.

Telecom Italia will distribute a dividend of 5.8 cents per share for fiscal 2010, against 5 cents a year earlier.
In August, Telecom Italia has reached an agreement with Werthein Group to increase from 50 to 58% its stake in the holding company that controls Telecom Argentina.
 The Italian operator has been trying for several months to deploy more widely in the lucrative South American market as it faces a slowdown in demand on the Italian domestic market more mature. Telecom Italia has posted a net profit in 2010 rose by 98% to 3.12 billion euros, against 1.58 billion euros a year earlier. 

Analysts expected a net profit of 2.53 billion euros.

sales rose 2.5% to 27.6 billion euros over the period, but sales in Italy fell by 7.4%.

Telecom Italia shows a slightly reduced debt in late December, to 32.1 billion euros, against 33 billion euros at the end of September.
